Youssef Ousaid, born in Agadir in 1986, is one of the most exciting, emerging artists of Cool Morocco, and is a member of YMA, the Young Moroccan Artists collective.

Youssef says his passion for art was ignited by the gift of a box of coloured pencils when he was a child. A graduate of the National Institute of Fine Arts of Tetouan, he has always drawn and painted, but chose graphic design as his medium through which to inform, persuade and create emotional connections.

His witty, iconic images explore the contrasts within contemporary Moroccan culture, and pack a powerful punch.
